Visa and COE for Japanese Cooking Courses (Important)

  • Q

Can I attend your course with a student visa?

    A

No. Our programs are short-term culinary courses (up to 10 weeks) and do not qualify for a Japanese student visa under Japanese immigration regulations.

  • Q

Can your school sponsor my visa or apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE)?

    A

No. We do not provide visa sponsorship and cannot apply for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) on behalf of participants.

  • Q

What type of visa do I need to join the course from overseas?

    A

Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and length of stay. Most international participants attend our courses using a short-term stay visa or through Japan's visa waiver program.

We strongly recommend confirming the latest visa requirements with your local Japanese embassy or consulate before making travel arrangements.

Please note that as our programs are short-term courses with a maximum duration of 10 weeks, they are not recognized under Japan’s Immigration Control Act as educational institutions or programs eligible for a “Student” visa. Therefore, we are unable to sponsor a student visa (status of residence: “Student”) or provide support for applications for a Certificate of Eligibility (COE).

Living in Japan & Support

  • Q

Do you help arrange accommodation in Japan?

    A

We do not arrange accommodation on behalf of students. However, we are happy to assist by providing information on recommended areas and options that offer convenient access to the class.

  • Q

Can I work in Japan after completing the course?

    A

Completing our course alone does not grant permission to work in Japan. To work legally in Japan, you must obtain the appropriate work visa and secure employment with a sponsoring employer.
